ON THE ANNULMENT THE
EXISTING PROCEDURE
FOR TIMBER EXPORT
Council of Ministers
Decision No. 65
(18 June 1994)
-
Seen the Constitution
of the Kingdom of Cambodia;
-
Seen the Royal Decree of His Majesty the King
of Cambodia, Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk Vaarman dated November 01,
1993 on the Formation of the Roya1 Government of Cambodia;
-
Responding to current military and security situation;
-
Responding to the exigent needs of establishing
and consolidating the Khmer Royal Armed Forces;
-
Seen the Notice No. 165 dated January 29, 1994
of the Cabinet of the Council of Ministers on the prohibition of timber
cutting and export of round wood and sawn wood effective the end of March
1994; and
-
Seen the Notice No. 933 dated December 20, 1993,
on mandating the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Ministry
of Economy and Finances, the Ministry of External Affairs and International
Cooperation to supervise and coordinate the timber export.
It is hereby decided
Article 1
To annull the existing procedure for the timber
export.
Article 2
The new procedure for timber export is as
follows:

Any application for timber export shall be authorized
by the First and Second Prime Ministers.

Any companies or individuals who still maintain
licenses for timber export previously issued by the competent ministry,
but have yet to export their timber, shall reapply for export to the First
and Second Prime Ministers through the Cabinet of the Council of Ministers.
Article 3
The Co-ministers in charge of the Cabinet
of the Council of Ministers, the Co-ministers of Defense and other concerned
ministers shall implement this decision from the date of its signature.
